📌Nature of the protagonist

Introducing our proud collection named “ Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore ” you should not miss.

The initial design of the cathedral was created by Arnolfo di Cambio in a Gothic style, featuring a Latin cross plan with a massive central nave and side aisles. The façade is richly decorated with white, green, and pink marble, blending Gothic and Renaissance influences.  The most famous element of the cathedral is its massive dome, designed by Filippo Brunelleschi. At the time, this was an unprecedented engineering feat, as it was built without scaffolding. Brunelleschi’s innovative double-shell design with a herringbone brick pattern allowed the dome to stand without external supports, inspiring future advancements in architecture. The dome remains one of the largest masonry domes ever built.  The cathedral’s bell tower, or Giotto’s Campanile, was designed by the artist Giotto di Bondone and completed by Francesco Talenti. It is richly adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures, reflecting the architectural transition from Gothic to early Renaissance.
